SOAS University of London Criteria

Applicants must have applied for a Postgraduate taught (on-campus) degree for September and must have received an offer by May 31st in order to be considered by the scholarship selection panel.

Applicants from Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, and Egypt should apply for the Middle East and North Africa scholarships.
Applicants must possess at least an honours bachelor’s degree from a UK university or an international equivalent, in a subject relevant to the program they intend to pursue.
If an applicant’s bachelor’s degree is not in an appropriate field, they may be required to complete a qualifying year or a one-year diploma before being admitted to the Master’s program.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must have achieved a minimum of a 2:1 degree or international equivalent. Additionally, applicants will need to submit a 500-word supporting statement that showcases their academic achievements, career aspirations, and how postgraduate study will help them achieve their goals.
SOAS Scholarship Application Process
- To apply for the International Postgraduate Scholarship, applicants must complete the online application form. Before submitting a scholarship application
- They must also apply for admission through the online postgraduate application system for Taught Masters programs.
- The admissions cycle opens on November 1st annually, and the deadline to apply for a Taught Master’s program is July 31st, 2023.
- To be admitted, applicants must meet the minimum requirement of a UK upper second-class (2:1) or its international equivalent. Complete entry requirements can be found on the website.
