Kyoto University of Advanced Science (KUAS) provides partially and fully funded scholarships to international students. Every year, KUAS helps outstanding international students from all around the world with their academics, in-depth research, and ground-breaking invention. For full-time Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. degree programs, KUAS, Japan, currently offers scholarships for international students.

International scholarships are now available from KUAS in two different categories. For undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students, it will partially or entirely cover their costs. The Kyoto University of Advanced Science Scholarship (Super KUAS-E Scholarship and KUAS-E Scholarship) 2022 is open to international students in Japan.

The Kyoto University of Academic Science offers 2 types of scholarships in the Faculty of Engineering for Bachelor, Master & Ph.D. degrees:

1. Super KUAS-E Scholarship:

  • Stipend (for personal expenses) 1,200,000 JPY per year
  • Tuition fee exemption (100%)
  • Admission fee exemption (100%)

2. KUAS-E Scholarship:

  • Tuition fee reduction (100%, 50% or 30%)
  • Admission fee reduction (100%, 50% or 30%)

Eligibility Criteria Kyoto University of Advanced Science (KUAS) Scholarships:

  • KUAS Scholarships are open to international students from all over the world.
  • Applicants must be in good health, both physically and mentally.
  • Applicants for Bachelor’s degree must be at least 18 years old and have obtained 12 years of education and a diploma or certificate.
  • Applicants for Master’s degree must have completed 16 years of education and have obtained a bachelor’s degree and be at least 22 years old.
  • Applicants of doctoral degrees must have a master’s or professional degree and be at least 24 years old.
  • Applicants of all degrees must be proficient in the English Language. (IELTS, TOEFL iBT, Duolingo, PTE)

  • Essay about your reason(s) for applying to KUAS (min. 300 words, max. 350 words)
  • High school transcript
  • Certificates of (expected) school graduation in English
