DHU (Donghua University) has been licensed to admit foreign students who have been granted a Shanghai Government Scholarship since 2006. About 40 Shanghai Government Scholarship applicants with graduate (bachelor’s) or postgraduate (master’s or doctorate) degrees from around the world are accepted by DHU each year.

Eligibility for Donghua University Scholarship
- Non-Chinese citizens are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must be in good health.
- Applicants for bachelor’s degree programs must have a high school diploma or an intermediate/college diploma and be between 18 and 30.
- Applicants for MS/degree Master’s programs must hold a bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old.
- Applicants for Doctoral degree programs must have a master’s degree and be under 40 years old.
- Be able to communicate proficiently in the language of instruction (English or Chinese)

- Acceptance letter from a supervisor (not mandatory)
